War memorial and observation tower

...a memorial on the Panoramaweg

At the beginning of the 1930s, the idea of erecting a memorial for the citizens of the city, who died in World War I, was born. The 23 m high tower made of Triberg granite was built in an exposed position on the Panoramaweg, which is now clearly visible from the boulevard.

On the ground floor of the tower is a crypt-like memorial room with marble plaques listing the names of the community's fallen and missing. The tower can be climbed during the summer months. At the top of the bell tower, right next to the large memorial bell, you can enjoy a wonderful view over the city.
