The Wooden council chamber shows impressive scenes from the life in the Black Forest and stimulates to think in a humorous way.

The masterpiece of Karl Josef Fortwängler, created in 1926 is shown on the first floor of the City Hall, Hauptstraße. 57. 

Opening hours

Monday to Friday 08:30h to 12:30h
Monday to Thursday 14:00h to 16:00h

Admission for the viewing of the council chamber is free!

It may happen that it is not possible only for a short time to visit the council chamber, as it is sometimes used for weddings, meetings and receptions.

There are also guided tours in the wooden carved council chamber all over the year on Wednesdays and also additionally on Saturdays during the summer season.
